C.A.R.E. Africa was founded in 2014 after two 14-year-old boys, Success and Wale, came to ECWA Hospital in Egbe, Nigeria seeking work with the temporary laborers helping revitalize the hospital. Construction Manager Lenny Miles noticed how young they were and asked their ages. When he learned they were only fourteen, he told them they were too young to be working and should be in school. The boys explained that they were trying to earn money to pay their school fees.

In Egbe, education is essential. Job opportunities are scarce, and the ability to read and write often determines whether someone can find work. Seeing this need, C.A.R.E. Africa was created to help children remain in school through educational support and discipleship. As the ministry grew, it became clear that many families were struggling as well. Today, C.A.R.E. Africa also works alongside widows, abandoned mothers, and unemployed parents, helping strengthen families while continuing to invest in the education and spiritual growth of children.
